GreenRobust

In the Excellence Cluster 3099 “GreenRobust,” the robustness mechanisms of various plant species are being studied at all levels of biological organization under biotic and climatic disturbances. Within the cluster, different research teams from the Universities of Tübingen, Hohenheim, and Heidelberg will collaborate.

A central component of the Excellence Cluster is a joint experiment to be conducted at the Phytotechnikum of the University of Hohenheim — the “Plant Perturbation Atlas.” In this experiment, nine different plant species will be exposed to various temperature regimes, drought stress, heat stress, and combinations of these stress factors. The plants will be sampled at different time points for cellular, molecular, physiological, and ecological analyses, and will also undergo non-invasive phenotyping.
